Moran Monday….Is Everyone On Dope? 02-04-2013

I bet you’re wondering why I would use “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” as an example for today, right?  Well, considering how many issues seem to be competing for first place in the news, in government and just in general, I’d bet we’d all be better off if everyone WAS on dope!  Yeah, I said it.  Why?  Because people have forgotten what it is to come together and work on the issues that provide a healthy start for everyone.  The groups have all fractioned off, one wants to save the animals and another wants to save the trees.  Doesn’t it make sense that we save the humans, to save the trees, to save the animals and we all live happily ever after?  It confuses me that people who are working for the common good of the world will fight about what needs to be saved first…kinda which came first, the chicken or the egg?  Maybe if everyone was mellow we’d find a way to solve the world’s problems in a nonviolent way.

Maybe it’s just how we’re all wired but to me the health and well being of our planet and it’s inhabitants is a package deal.  Health care, education, shelter and food being at the top of the list along with a “living wage”.  If you’re not struggling to survive it makes it easier to look at the necessary issues that need addressing to making our world a functioning and sustainable place for future generations come.

Also, please go and read about the ACHE ACT. Call your Representatives and ask them to support and sign on to this life saving bill! Together we can make a difference for many generations to come!
