This was the information provide as a description of the classic at Wiki:, Where the Red Fern Grows is a novel written by Wilson Rawls in 1961 about a boy who buys and trains two Redbone Coonhound hunting dogs. (Wikipedia) But the book is so much more. Old Dan and Little Anne are the Coonhounds who become the best friends, companions and teachers to a young boy, changed by the love and loyalty they all shared. We’re all intertwined by the star dust that is our building blocks, yet we tend to push the world away without thinking of the consequences for you, me and us all.
Even though we all feel isolated in our own worlds, we’re aren’t. We rely on each other for services, companionship and loyalty of the human race. At moments of devastation we reach out and touch each others souls, supplying emergency needs, comfort and support for our fellow man. The hope that society will heal itself and it’s people of it’s inequities and basic human rights violations will b e a constant motivator for progress, growth and change. Together we’ll all contribute to the next generations health and prosperity by using our voices and hands to help out our family of humanity.
