This is my call for women everywhere to support Kotex products!

How many times do we hear the word ERECTION during a Viagra or Cialis commercial? But do you think a tampon commercial can say the word vagina even once? Oh, HELL no! You must not mention the Va-J-J by name! Even when Kotex agreed to drop the word VAGINA for the phrase “down there”, two networks STILL wouldn’t run it. Hey, it’s the friggin’ 1950′s everybody! Where’s Ward, Wally and the Beaver?

THE BEAVER! You mean someone was allowed to use the word BEAVER on television 40-some years ago, but we can’t even say VAGINA in a commercial in 2010??!! Anyone ever see those infomercials for ExtenZe? Know how many times they use the words PENIS and ERECTION in them?? And the BEAVER is in reruns all the time. But don’t you dare say the word VAGINA.

I feel like chanting! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA!

The Guardian in the UK had this article, which said in part:

The amended ad (shown below), “How do I feel about my period?”, has a series of images parodying the stock images used in sanitary product advertising, and concludes: “The ads on TV are really helpful because they use that blue liquid, and I’m like, oh, that’s what’s supposed to happen.”

I don’t know whether I should laugh or cry, but the scary cat picture is worth the price of admission!
